Summer Seminar 2010
Communicating Culture in Early Modern Europe
Extended Deadline: 15 February 2010
How do patterns and modes of communication develop over the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries to influence traditional folkloric and/or ‘vernacular’, local, and regional forms of cultural expression on the one hand and the more formal or ‘polite’ on the other? Our 2010 Summer Seminar will explore themes of cultural communication and networking over a four week period. Interested senior PhD Candidates, Recent PhDs, and Junior Faculty can apply for this residential summer seminar led by Robert Tittler and Brian Cowan from 24 May to 23 June 2010 in Montreal at Concordia University.
